Course Overview
The Penetration Testing Essentials Course is designed to provide practitioners with working knowledge of the cyber security challenges facing their environments. This course is aimed at teaching students the basics of penetration testing to prepare them for the boot camp certification course. Pen Testing essentials would be of interest to individuals who are moving into the
information security sector from a different sector or would just like to learn about penetration testing but are not ready for an accreditation level course. It will also teach you how adversaries target their companies.
The course consists of 4 days of classroom training. It contains hands on exercises and examples of the hacking lifecycle to reinforce theory taught by our instructors.

Course Objectives
- At the conclusion of this module, delegates will be able to:
- Perform basic OSINT and reconnaissance of a target network.
- Scan target networks & complete a vulnerability assessment.
- Perform basic exploitation.
- Perform and maintain privileged escalation.
- Cover tracks and exit the target network.
- Complete a Capture the Flag exercise to demonstrate skills covered in the training course.
Course Details
- The trainer will be a very experienced pen tester.
- A laptop is required for this course.
- On completion a certificate is provided.
