Richard Preece – Chief Training Officer – OSP Cyber Academy

Richard is an experienced international hybrid consultant and leader.  He enables organizations to become more strategically agile and resilient, to exploit the opportunities and minimize the dangers of the current and future digital hyper-connected world.

He is a chapter author for Managing Cybersecurity Risk – How Directors and Corporate Officers can protect their businesses. He has written a follow-up chapter on the use of scenario workshops to prepare for the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), due to be published in November 2017.

He has also co-authored a recent Whitepaper, GDPR: A Catalyst to Drive Real Action Around Privacy and Security

Richard Parlour – Chairman EU Task Force on Cybersecurity Policy
Richard is Chairman of the EU Task Force on Cybersecurity Policy for the Financial Sector, and has been a member of the DCMS Cyber Experts Working Group. He is also on the Bank of England Financial Markets Law Committee Brexit Advisory Group.
An experienced international financial markets lawyer. His career started with Clifford Chance’s derivatives team, he put together the first oil price master swap agreements, and helped in the establishment of the oil market participants regime. He was seconded to London International Financial Futures Exchange (LIFFE) as in house general counsel, and has worked in Brussels with the European Institutions. 
He advises on regulatory compliance systems, using a new tool to improve efficiency and effectiveness, as well as developing new products such as cryptocurrencies and crowdfunding platforms. His firm has a particular specialism in deterrence of economic crime, cyber investigations and training. His due diligence network now covers 140 countries. 

Guest Speaker – John Barrass – Deputy Chief Executive  PIMFA 

Public Policy and Government Relations, including Brexit, EU related business and anti-financial crime activity, impact of GDPR post Brexit.
As part of his work he runs PIMFA interests in Public Policy and Government Relations, including Brexit, EU related business and anti-financial crime activity.

Prior to joining PIMFA, John was Head of CFA Institute Centre for Financial Market Integrity in EMEA which followed over 12 years running international regulatory policy for the UK Government, the Securities and Investments Board, and the Financial Services Authority.

He spent the first 12 years of his career in HM Diplomatic Service immersed in Soviet and East European Affairs but with the fall of the Berlin Wall felt that it was time to move on.

John was educated at Cambridge University, England, and has a Masters degree from the University of Essex.
