OSP Cyber Academy GDPR Data Protection Trainer Course
What will you learn?
This course will build upon the Awareness and Practitioner courses and will prepare individuals to teach these courses.
The course will include self-study and provide a number of practical teaching sessions by the students. There will also be a formal examination and course attendance can be used to support other professional accreditations and CPD. However, the GCT Trainer qualification will be awarded by an independent assessor from APMG International, following a minimum of delivery of 2 hours of instruction by the student and an interview.
The GCT Scheme is linked to the UK’s National Cyber Security Strategy and is intended to provide confidence in data protection and cyber security training providers and the courses that they offer. As part of the GCT Scheme, each training course will be assessed against the nominated area(s) of the Institute of Information Security Professionals (IISP) Information Security Skills Framework. The topic coverage provided is the same as that used by the assessment process for the GCHQ certification of masters degrees, which provide a general, broad foundation in cyber security. This is intentional as it provides a common baseline for data protection and cyber security capability from awareness and training, to that used at the highest levels of academic pursuit.
OSP’s GCT courses are accredited by APMG International, who are in turn accredited by The United Kingdom Accreditation Service (UKAS). UKAS is the only national accreditation body in the United Kingdom and their certificate is recognised by the UK government and in many other countries around the world.
Whilst GCHQ and its National Cyber Security Centre (NCSC) are the UK’s national authority for Cyber Security and Information Assurance. This ensures quality of content and delivery of the courses and the associated qualifications awarded.
PDF of slides and Instructor Notes. Plus, access to updates to course materials and on-going mentoring and training support from the Chief Training Officer.
